SMS Terms & Conditions
How text messages from insurance agencies on the Vora platform work: what you will receive, how to opt in, and how to stop.
Last updated November 4, 2026
Draft for counsel review
In short
- Texts come from your insurance agency, under the agency's own name. Vora provides the technology.
- Service texts (reminders, status updates, your agent's replies) and marketing texts (birthday and holiday greetings, offers) need separate consent.
- Reply STOP to stop texts. A STOP also stops dialer calls from that agency. Reply HELP for help, START to rejoin.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
This summary is for convenience. The full text below governs.
1. Program description
Vora Financial LLC ("Vora", "we", "us") provides a customer relationship platform to licensed insurance agencies. Each agency uses it to text its own clients and prospects who have agreed to receive texts from that agency.
The sender is your agency. Every agency is registered with the mobile carriers as its own brand, with Vora as the technology provider. Messages show the agency's name, and the agency is responsible for the messages it sends and for the consent it collects. Vora's own licensed insurance agency is one of these agencies and texts its own clients under the name Vora Financial.
These terms apply to every text program run on the Vora platform. Your agency may also have its own SMS terms; if it does, read them together with these.
2. Types of messages
Agencies send two kinds of texts. Each kind is a separate program with its own consent.
Service (informational) messages
- appointment reminders and confirmations;
- application and underwriting status updates;
- policy packet delivery and policy status updates;
- billing, payment and lapse reminders;
- a welcome message after you become a client;
- a periodic check-in about your existing coverage;
- one-to-one conversation with your agent, including replies to your questions.
Marketing messages
- birthday and holiday greetings;
- offers or information about insurance products you do not already have.
An agency sends marketing texts only if you separately agreed to receive marketing texts from it. Saying yes to service messages does not sign you up for marketing.
3. Consent and opt-in
You agree to receive texts from an agency when you give the agency your mobile number and agree to texts, for example by checking an unchecked box on a web form, signing a paper or electronic form, telling your agent on a recorded call, or texting the agency's number first. The agency records when, where and how you agreed, and the words you agreed to.
By agreeing, you consent to receive recurring texts (SMS and MMS) from that agency at the number you gave, including texts sent with automated technology. For marketing texts, the agency will ask for your consent separately and will name itself as the sender.
If you received a text you did not agree to, reply STOP.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies. It depends on your appointments, applications and policies, and on how often you text your agent. Automated texts are sent only between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. in your local time.
5. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Neither Vora nor your agency charges you for texts, but your mobile carrier's standard rates apply. We are not responsible for carrier charges.
6. How to stop texts (STOP)
Reply STOP to any text to stop texts from that agency. You can also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT. You will get one confirmation text and no further texts from that agency, unless you rejoin.
You can also ask your agent to stop texts by any reasonable means, such as telling them on a call or by email. A STOP sent to one agency does not stop texts from a different agency that uses Vora.
7. How to rejoin (START)
Reply START, UNSTOP or SUBSCRIBE to receive texts from that agency again. You will get one confirmation text. Rejoining texts does not remove you from the agency's Do Not Call list for calls; ask the agency if you want calls again.
8. Help (HELP)
Reply HELP or INFO to any text for help. The reply names the agency and gives its phone number or email.
For help with the Vora platform, email info@vorafinancial.io or call 786-654-1233.
[DECISION: the CRM's default HELP contact for Vora's own brand is support@vorafinancial.io, while this page and the 10DLC registration use info@vorafinancial.io. Pick one monitored mailbox and use it in both places; info@ is recommended until support@ is staffed.]
9. Carriers
Texts are supported on major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and is not guaranteed.
10. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder of the mobile number, or have the account holder's permission, to agree to texts. If you change or give up your number, reply STOP first or tell your agency, so texts do not reach the next owner.
11. Privacy
Your information is handled under our Privacy Policy and your agency's privacy notice. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service and message delivery, is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post changes here with a new "last updated" date. If a change affects what you agreed to receive, your agency will ask for your consent again.
